God's Eye View
A 3D globe in your browser showing live aircraft, ships, satellites, earthquakes, weather and public cameras.
Overview
God's Eye View is a real-time intelligence console for planet Earth. It plots live aircraft, ships, satellites, earthquakes, weather and public traffic cameras on a photorealistic 3D globe, all rendered in your browser. Every feed works with no key; a handful of premium layers and hands-free voice control unlock when you add your own provider keys.
Features
- A photorealistic 3D globe with live aircraft, ships and satellites
- Earthquake, wildfire and weather overlays
- Public traffic camera feeds
- Hands-free voice control, once you add an OpenAI key
- Keyless by default: Esri World Imagery and OpenStreetMap need no key, OpenSky flight data works anonymously, and Launch Library 2 space launches need no token
Good to know
- Voice control needs an OpenAI key, and OpenAI bills you directly for it. The globe works fully without it.
- Voice control does not work on the appliance. It needs your browser's microphone, which only works on a secure (HTTPS) address. The appliance reaches this app over plain HTTP; it works on the hosted version, which is HTTPS.
- Photorealistic Google 3D tiles and place search need your own Google Maps key or Cesium ion token. Without either, the globe falls back to keyless Esri World Imagery with OpenStreetMap available in the map tray. The keys you add here are also sent to the browser, since the globe renders them client-side, so scope them (HTTP referrer and API restrictions) in your provider's console.
- Live AIS ships, NASA FIRMS wildfires and TomTom traffic each need their own free or freemium key. Without one, that layer is either empty or, for traffic, runs a built-in simulation instead of live data. OpenSky flight data works anonymously with no key, at a lower rate limit; adding OpenSky OAuth credentials raises it.
